Coffee Time...

Let's talk coffee and FASTer Way to Fat Loss.

Can you have coffee in the morning and not break your FAST? YES!

Can you have your favorite Venti Mocha Latte with extra whip cream? No

Here are some things that I have found that work in my coffee and don't break my fast. I'll be honest in saying that if needed, I would totally drink black coffee. I know, that is gross to some people, but back in high school when my dad first let me try the coffee he made, he drank it black, so I did too. Now, my taste has evolved over time, however, if it came to drinking black coffee or no coffee.....I'd drink the black coffee (lol).

The key to not breaking your fast is to NOT consume anything over 50 calories because doing that would break your fast. So when you are thinking about all that you add to your coffee now, be mindful of how many calories that is and see if any of these tips below will help you in not breaking your FAST as you enjoy your coffee.

You may be asking yourself, what are Nutpods? I know I did. They can be found in most stores (HEB, Target, Kroger, and Amazon are the places I have seen them). In HEB they are on the coffee isle near the other creamers. I only saw the original, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut at my HEB in Bay Colony. I did an amazon search and they have some Winter Seasonal flavors that I will order to see how they taste. I noticed that they also have a Pumpkin Spice one that I will for sure look into next fall.

For you who are a little skeptical of Nutpods.....I made my husband's coffee this morning with French Vanilla Nutpods instead of his regular creamer and he didn't even notice! An he's one that does not like change, so I was nervous, but when I asked how his coffee was, he said great! Normally when I try to change something, he will say "what did you do differently?" and I did not get that question this time. So, give it a try and if you don't like it, add it to your office community fridge and someone will use it (lol).

How do you like your coffee? My hope is that these suggestions will help you in your FWTFL journey and that you won't miss all the extra "fluff" you used to add to your coffee. Share in the comments how you like your coffee and what changes you are going to try. Or leave a question and we will work together to help you find a healthier alternative.
