Happy Sunday! I'm back to a few old faithful's on my Game Plan for this week.
This week I am focusing on hitting my daily water goals, macros for each day and getting in 5 workouts. Every week doesn't have to be something new. Especially when you are just starting out with a new routine or lifestyle, keeping it simple can make it easier for you to stick with it long enough for it to truly become a habit.
Let's talk food! Here's my plan for dinner this week:
With it being a short work week, I convinced my husband to cook a brisket Monday so we will eat off that for a few meals.
Monday - Brisket with salad, green beans and I'm sure the guys will have homemade french fries (I will skip those since it is a low carb day for me).
Tuesday - Brisket Nachos or tacos. Leftover meat from Monday and they guys will make nachos with cheese and all their favorite fixings. I will either have a brisket salad or use low carb tortillas or large leaf lettuce to make "tacos" without cheese. I will use salsa and avocado to my tacos.
Wednesday - planning ahead: it's basketball night for us, so we will be eating out. I typically get chicken tortilla soup with a side of nuggets from Chick-fil-a OR I'll get a grilled chicken sandwich and NO FRIES. I skip fries bc usually the bun is enough to help me hit my carb goals.
Thursday - Brinner. I could probably eat this all the time. This week I'll be making sausage eggs (cook the sausage first and then leave the grease in the pan and cook the scrambled eggs next) and Bisquick Drop Biscuits. I enter these into MFP and depending on how many carbs I still need for the day I'll have 1-2 biscuits as the base to my eggs. I'll also sauté up some spinach and cherry tomatoes with my eggs for some added flavor. Top with avocado and Everything But the Bagel seasoning if I need a little more fat...YUMMY!
Friday - Keto Pork Chops and potatoes. I'll use this recipe that my friend Cindy shared last week and then will either make some mashed potatoes or roast them in the over while I'm cooking the pork chops. I LOVE this one and the smell is amazing too.
Some weeks I make different things every night, but some times I like to keep it simple too. Find a routine that works for you and roll with it. I have a list of recipes that I've tried since I started living the FASTer Way lifestyle and rotate through the ones I know my guys will like. I will try something new once in a while and if they don't like it, then BONUS, I've got lunch for the next day.
What are your goals for the week?
